The pool heater is an efficient and powerful unit that maintains the pool temperature at 85 degrees, even throughout almost all of the winter. During exceptional periods of frost or prolonged cold weather, which is rare in South Florida but possible in January and February, the rate of heat loss from our pool (and others) can cause this temperature to fall below its target.
